How aiMakeVideo collects, uses, shares, and retains personal information when you use the studio.

Last updated: 2026-09-17

This Privacy Policy explains how aiMakeVideo (“we,” “us”) handles personal information when you use https://aimakevideo.com (the “Service”).

Contact: support@aimakevideo.com.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication details. If you sign in with Google (or another enabled OAuth provider), we receive the profile information that provider shares with us, typically name, email, and a public profile image.

Billing information

If you buy a subscription or credit pack, a payment processor (such as Stripe) collects card or wallet details, billing name, and address as needed to charge you and meet tax rules. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. We do store order identifiers, plan names, amounts, status, and similar records so we can fulfill the purchase and show Settings → Billing.

Generation and usage data

To run the studio we process:

  • prompts, settings, and job metadata;
  • uploaded reference images, videos, or other files;
  • generated outputs and task status;
  • credit grants, consumption, and automatic credit returns when a job fails;
  • device and log data such as browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, and error reports.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies or local storage for sign-in sessions, locale preference, theme or sidebar state, and similar functional needs. If Google Analytics, Plausible, or advertising tags are enabled in admin settings, those tools may set their own cookies. See Cookies below.

Communications

If you email support, we receive the content of that message and your email address. If we send transactional mail (verification, password reset, receipts) through Resend or a similar provider, that provider processes the address and message.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • authenticate you and secure accounts;
  • run generation jobs and store or re-host results;
  • grant, consume, expire, and restore credits;
  • process payments, prevent fraud, and handle cancellations or refunds;
  • send transactional email and respond to support requests;
  • measure usage and diagnose errors;
  • comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

3. Legal bases (where they apply)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, we typically rely on:

  • Contract — to create your account, run jobs you request, and fulfill paid orders;
  • Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent abuse, and understand product usage in a limited way;
  • Consent — for optional analytics or marketing cookies, where required;
  • Legal obligation — to keep tax, accounting, or law-enforcement records.

4. When we share information

We share information with processors who help us operate the Service, only as needed:

  • Payments — Stripe or other enabled processors receive checkout and billing data.
  • Authentication — Google (and any other enabled OAuth provider) authenticates your login.
  • Email — Resend or a similar provider delivers verification, reset, and support mail.
  • Hosting and storage — Cloudflare Workers, D1, and R2 (or equivalent) host the app, database, uploads, and generated files.
  • AI providers — Model vendors receive the prompts and media required to generate a result. Their systems may log that material under their own terms.
  • Analytics (optional) — Google Analytics, Plausible, or similar tools if the operator enables them.
  • Professional advisors / authorities — accountants, lawyers, or public authorities when legally required or to protect rights and safety.

A provider may process data in the United States or other countries. If we transfer data out of the EEA or UK, we will use an available lawful mechanism such as standard contractual clauses where required.

We may also share information if we sell or reorganize the business, in which case this Policy will still apply to the transferred data until you are notified of a change.

5. AI providers and your content

Generation is performed by third-party models. Prompts, references, and sometimes Outputs leave our infrastructure and are processed by those vendors so they can return a result. Do not submit secrets, government IDs, health data, or anyone else’s personal data unless you have a lawful basis and they expect that use.

We may retain Inputs and Outputs so you can review history, retry work, and so we can debug failures, enforce acceptable use, and operate credit accounting. Retention can change as storage and product features evolve.

6. Retention

We keep account and billing records for as long as the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet tax, fraud, and accounting needs. Credit ledgers and order history are kept to show your balance and past grants. Support emails are kept as long as needed to resolve the request and document the outcome.

You can ask us to delete your account by emailing support@aimakevideo.com. We will delete or anonymize personal data we no longer need, except records we must keep by law or for legitimate disputes (for example, payment records).

7. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, and — when configured — encrypted storage of admin secrets. Payment cards are handled by the payment processor. No internet transmission or storage system is fully secure. You are responsible for protecting your password and the devices you use to sign in.

8. Cookies

Essential. Session cookies keep you signed in. Locale and similar preferences remember how you use the site.

Analytics and ads (optional). If the operator enables Google Analytics, Plausible, or ad tags, those services may collect usage data under their own policies. You can block non-essential cookies in your browser; the Service may still work, but some measurement will stop.

Third-party widgets. Crisp, Tawk, or similar chat tools, if enabled, may set cookies when you open chat.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain personal data, to object to some processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to a data-protection authority.

To exercise a request, email support@aimakevideo.com from the address on your account. We may need to verify that you are the account holder.

If you are a California resident, we do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the sense of selling lists to data brokers. If optional advertising tags are later enabled, we will update this Policy and provide any required opt-out.

10. Children

The Service is for users 18 and older. If you believe we collected information from a child, contact support@aimakevideo.com and we will delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy by posting a new version and changing the date above. Material changes may also be announced in the product or by email.
