How to remove a watermark from a photo

  1. Upload your photo

Drop in a JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB that you own or have the rights to edit.

  2. Mark the watermark

Drag a box around text, logos and date stamps, or switch to the brush for curved or scattered marks. Cover the whole mark plus a small margin.

  3. Remove and download

Click Remove watermark, compare before and after with the slider, then download the cleaned photo.

What you can remove

Your old logo or signature

Strip an outdated logo, signature or studio name from your own portfolio photos before reusing them.

Camera date stamps

Erase the orange date imprint that older cameras and phones burned into the corner of your photos.

Captions and overlaid text

Remove captions, labels, stickers and text overlays from photos and graphics you created.

Proof watermarks on your own shots

Get a clean copy of a photo you watermarked yourself — for example a client proof — when the original file is lost.

Tips for a clean result

  • Cover every letter and the soft glow or shadow around it — a box slightly bigger than the mark works best.
  • Works best when the mark sits on sky, walls, sand, fabric or another plain or evenly textured background.
  • Over a face or fine detail, mark only the watermark itself — the smaller the mask, the more of your original is kept.
  • Mark all watermarks at once — one run removes every highlighted area.

Use it only on images you have the rights to

Watermarks and copyright notices protect the owner's work. This tool is meant for your own photos and images you have permission to edit. Removing someone else's watermark or copyright information without permission may infringe their rights and is not allowed under our Terms of Service. You are responsible for how you use the result.

Remove Watermark — FAQ

How do I remove a watermark from a photo?

Upload the photo, drag a box (or brush) over the watermark and press Remove watermark. The AI erases everything in the marked area and fills it with a natural continuation of the photo — no cloning or manual retouching.

How much does it cost?

Each removal uses 5 credits. The price is shown on the button before you run it, and failed jobs are refunded automatically. See Pricing for plans and credit packs.

Can I remove watermarks from any image?

No — only from photos you took, images you made, or images you have permission to edit. Please don't use it on other people's work: removing their watermark or copyright notice can infringe their rights. Before your first removal you'll be asked to confirm that you own or have rights to the image.

Will it keep my photo's resolution?

Yes. The result has the same pixel size as the photo you edit; photos larger than 2048 px on the long side are scaled down to 2048 px first. You get it back as a lossless PNG.

Will the rest of my photo change?

No. Only the pixels inside your mask are repainted, plus a few pixels of margin to catch soft edges; everything else stays exactly as it was. If a trace is left, mark it again a little wider and press Try again.

What other photo tools are there?

Remove Object from Photo erases people and clutter, Image Enhancer sharpens and upscales the cleaned photo, and Remove Background cuts the subject out as a transparent PNG.
